IMMCO takes great pride in developing and promoting home-grown talent, which is in line with one of our core values: continuous investment in employee talent.
A major focus of this past year has been building up our leadership capabilities by emphasizing employee development. In keeping with this focus, IMMCO partnered with Edgeworth Consulting to create the Leadership Development Program, a flagship initiative. The CPTL and LDP programs were launched as a part of this initiative. The CPTL (Certified Potential Team Lead) program involves about 20 hand-picked employees who are put through six months of training to develop their leadership talent. The LDP program takes those who are already in the role of a team lead or project lead and further develops their leadership skills.
The LDP program largely focuses on building skills and capabilities around managing oneself, managing a team, and developing a team. To ensure learning gets transferred into actualized behaviors on the job, the program involves four training programs, coaching sessions, a review from the reporting manager, and regular practice within the community. Participants are provided with leadership insights through Hogan reports. Additionally, each participant receives an Individual Developmental Plan, which is used to track the effort, progress and achievement made by each person.
The LDP program has helped our leads manage their teams’ more effectively, has improved employee retention and has also ensured our leads’ ability to take on larger responsibilities, thereby improving their ability to progress in their careers.
